Friends of Beacon Field Airport and the VDOT Adopt-a-Highway Program
Friends of Beacon Field Airport have been granted responsibility for VDOT Adopt-A-Highway litter pickup for the north and south bound portions of South Kings Highway (western boundary of Beacon Field Airport) between Harrison Lane and Franklin Street. Our first litter pickup was Wednesday, October 21, 2009, and was a huge success. Join us if you have time to contribute to the beautification process !! We have agreed to perform litter pickup 4 times a year and will announce the next pickup at least two weeks beforehand.
